Travel Interventional Radiology (IR) - $3,280 per week in Milwaukee, WI - Job Title: Clinical Services - Cardiology Profession: Clinical Services Specialty: Cardiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10hr Day Shift Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience preferred License: RN or RT(R) license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS for RN; ARRT, BLS for RT(R) Must-Have: Experience with basic, intermediate, and advanced interventional radiology procedures Description: Must be able to scrub and circulate basic, intermediate, and advanced interventional radiology procedures. Experience with GE and Siemens imaging equipment is preferred. NIR experience preferred but not required. Department is a Level III Trauma Center with a comprehensive stroke center. The unit is staffed 24/7 and processes around 40-50 patients per day on average. Patient types include adults only. General interventional radiology procedures include kyphoplasty/vertebroplasty, central lines, PICCs, ports, fistulograms, IVC filters, nephrostomy tubes, nephroureteral stents, peripheral leg cases, coil embolization, and thoracentesis/paracentesis. CT room procedures supported by interventional radiology include cryoablation, CT biopsies, and drains. AAA intervention experience is preferred. Neuro interventional radiology procedures include strokes and embolization. Required for RN position is experience in neuro IR. Candidates without neuro experience for the RT position will need manager approval. Experience in monitoring and charting is required for RN roles. RT(R) candidates should be comfortable scrubbing and panning simultaneously. Coding and charging experience for procedures is preferred but not required. Two coordinators will assist with unit support along with lead techs and technologists in each exam room. Respiratory Therapy and Hospitalist services are available 24/7. CNA/Transporter support is also present in the unit. The EMR system in use is EPIC, and familiarity with it is preferred for RN candidates. Equipment used includes Siemens and GE imaging equipment. Injectors used are MedRad. Other equipment experience is not required but beneficial, including IVUS, ultrasound, laser, and Bovie. Travelers may be required to take on-call shifts. Weekday on-call is typically one call shift per week. Weekend on-call is once every 5th weekend. Travelers will only take neuro call if they possess neuro experience; otherwise, they will handle general IR call. Response time for on-call is 30 minutes. No holidays are expected currently, but this is subject to change. RTO approvals can be granted for up to 7 days. Shift times can be altered based on manager discretion. Scrub colors are designated.
