Travelers must shave for mask fitting to ensure proper seal. No exemptions for mask fitting will be accepted. All clinicians cannot work past 1 year as a traveler. A 6-month break must be taken to return. Modules are not billable and hours may vary. Modules are completed prior to starting and will be recorded on transcripts.

Travel Cath Lab Tech - $3,400 per week in Milwaukee, WI - Job Title: Cath Lab Tech Profession: Clinical Services Specialty: Cardiology Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Rotating Hours per Shift: 8 or 12 Hours Experience: 3 Years License: WI License (for RTR) Certifications: BLS, ACLS; RCIS (preferred) Description: This is a Cath Lab Tech position in a high-acuity setting. The lab performs anywhere between 24-40 cases a day. Experience with adults is required; no pediatric cases will be encountered. The Cath Lab functions include diagnostic and interventional services, with experience in RHC, LHC, STEMI/NSTEMI, CTO, valvuloplasty, cardiomems, biopsies, atherectomies, staged PCI, IABP, Impella, and ECMO being preferred. Experience with peripheral diagnostic and interventional cases, including some fistulograms, is necessary. Hybrid experience is preferred but not required, including procedures such as AAA grafts, thoracic grafts, clips, TAVRs, and Watchmans. The patient ratio is 1:1. Required skills for RN include experience in conscious sedation and titrating/managing drips. Skills for RTR include scrubbing and panning during procedures. Permanent staff will monitor cases. Housekeeping will manage room turnovers. Supply management is handled by designated staff, with rooms stocked by night shift employees. Transport services are available from 0630-2000. A receptionist and charge nurse/lead tech will be present during operational hours. Cardiology will be in-house 24/7. Critical Response Teams will respond for codes when needed. The charting system includes EPIC and Alaris. Equipment in use includes GE C-arms, Volcano, St. Jude, Alphavac, Angiovac, EKOS, Anari, GE Pruka, and PACS systems. No floating between units is required. Scheduling will vary; department is staffed 24/7. Shifts include a mix of day and mid shifts, with occasional weekend shifts. Being on-call is required as needed for the department. The scheduled shift will end at 2030, with potential on-call from Friday to the following Friday every 2-3 months. Response time for call is within 30 minutes. Typically, travelers do not work holidays. All staff, including travelers, must adhere to fatigue policies not allowing more than 60 hours of work per week or 5 consecutive 12-hour shifts. Scrub color is provided.
