Experience with ablation, pacemaker implant, and removal is essential. Description: The unit features three electrophysiology labs, with two dedicated labs and one hybrid OR. The ideal patient ratio is 1:1, staffed with lead techs, RNs, and certified techs. The equipment utilized includes Boston Scientific, BioSense Webster Carto, Medtronic, and Baylis/VersaCross. Documentation is managed through specialized systems. The scheduling requires four 10-hour shifts with late stays. Floating policies may apply. The patient experience focuses on critical care with ICU and ER experience being necessary. Procedures performed on the unit include A-fib and A-flutter, SVT, and VT ablations using RF and cryo techniques. Pacemaker and ICD implants, including various types, are also common procedures. Lead extractions are performed by the qualified team. The dress code consists of royal blue and black for RNs and navy blue and black for techs. Ability to monitor and pace during ablation cases. Description: Traveler shall be scheduled in accordance with facility policy. Expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees. The unit has a capacity of 370 beds. Patient ratios are not applicable as this is a procedural position. Type of equipment includes GE Innova, Medtronic Cryoconsole, and Carto Mapping. Documentation system is MacLab/Meditech. Unit scheduling requirements include 4-10 hour shifts per week. Support in the prep/recovery area as needed may be required. Call is not required for electrophysiology but can be picked up in the cardiac catheterization lab if desired. The electronic medical record system is Meditech. No weekend work is required. Procedures performed include RF and Cryo ablations, device implants, Watchman, and Micra. Dress code consists of ceil blue scrubs that are supplied. This position offers access to newer procedure rooms and equipment. There is an engaged physician champion.
