Join our team as an RN EP Lab Specialist . In this role, you will play a critical part in diagnosing and treating complex cardiac arrhythmias. You will work alongside elite Electrophysiologists and Cardiologists, utilizing state-of-the-art 3D mapping systems, intracardiac echo, and advanced monitoring equipment. If you thrive in high-acuity environments, excel under pressure, and bring a blend of technical expertise and patient empathy, we want to hear from you! ⚡ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES CLINICAL EXCELLENCE & PROCEDURE SUPPORT (70%) * Circulate & Scrub: Assist physicians using strict sterile techniques during EP studies and complex device implantations (Permanent Pacemakers, ICDs, and Bi-V-ICDs). * Advanced Technology Operation: Operate and troubleshoot specialized EP monitoring/stimulation systems, Intracardiac Echo (ICE), and 3D mapping systems. * Patient Advocacy & Care: Educate patients to alleviate fear and anxiety regarding invasive procedures; ensure continuous comfort and safety. * Emergency Intervention: Respond calmly and efficiently to emergency situations, administering medications, defibrillation, or other critical treatments as ordered. * Radiation Safety: Manage and monitor radiation exposure for patients and the medical team, adhering strictly to ALARA safety standards. LAB OPERATIONS & DOCUMENTATION (30%) * Data Integrity: Accurately log patient demographics and clinical data into physiological monitoring and X-ray equipment. * Care Transitions: Hand off precise patient data and reports to receiving inpatient units. * Administrative Operations: Manage patient billing documentation, update tracking systems, and assist with room restocking and inventory management. 🎓 QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE * Degree: Graduate from an accredited school or college of nursing. BSN is preferred (or required within 5 years of hire). * Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Registered Nurse . * _ Preferred Experience:_ Strong preference given to candidates with an RN background in High-Acuity Critical Care (ICU), Emergency Department (ED), or Cath Lab . Complete Description: Main Function of Electrophysiology Monitor: will provide assistance to the Electrophysiologist during EP studies/Ablations and Cardiac implants. Cardiac implant or structural heart scrub experience is preferred but not required. Bloom stimulator experience is preferred but not required. The ability to implement EP Pacing monoverses and understanding is required. Client (MacLab & CardioLab) system is required, to assist in pacing monoverse and measurements. Within the URMC we coronate care with multiple vendors including Carto, Client, Rhythmia in ablations, which the monitor will be assisting in set up. Epic is the main way to document in the procedure within the lab. Epic experience is not required, but preferred. Responsible for commutating with MD and in-room staff to ensure all equipment and supplies is available. Assists in facilitating room turnover and on time starts for timely patient care. Coordinates with Charge Nurse and third-party vendors to ensure all team members will be available for scheduled procedures. Job Requirements: - Tech License: RCES or Radiologic Tech license - 2 Years' experience Job Certifications: - BLS (American Heart Association ONLY Cardiac implant or structural heart scrub experience is preferred but not required.
