PACS administrators cover call on a rotation, with one week of call every other week. M-F call for PACS is 15.5 hours from 1530 to 0700, and weekend call is 24 hours from 0600 to 0600. Special procedures performed include CT guided drain placements, CT guided biopsies, ultrasound guided biopsies, aspirations, paracentesis, thoracentesis, fluoroscopy guided lumbar punctures, fluoroscopy guided PICC placements, and myelograms. Procedures vary depending on the skills of the radiologist covering the department on any given day.
