Staff includes radiologists, radiology techs, ultrasound techs, MRI techs, and CT techs. Throughout the day, the unit operates with a day shift director, radiologists, and 6-7 techs. During the night, there is a charge RN, an on-call team, and 3-4 techs, with variations depending on volume. Patient ratios are 1:1 or 1:2, depending on patient stability. All equipment is GE, including MRI units, scanners, cameras, x-ray, and fluoroscopy. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech. Candidates should possess strong communication skills, medical and anatomical knowledge, and mechanical aptitude. The ability to multi-task and work with a variety of physicians, radiologists, and patients is essential. Dress code requirements allow for scrub color of choice. The department has received recognition as a top performer on key quality measures by the Joint Commission. This award is achieved by only a small percentage of hospitals nationwide. The department also holds a performance achievement award. This position is a contractor replacement role.

May oversee and instruct various personnel and technology students within the department. Prepares the equipment room and supplies for each patient and regular daily use. Participates in research programs, quality assurance, and quality improvement projects in the department. Maintains licensure and continuing education requirements. Effectively follows directions to comply with state and federal regulations and prepares for inspections by regulatory bodies. Must be proficient in instructing students and new staff after one year of experience. Demonstrates the ability to work independently.
