Travel Ultrasound - $1,969 to $2,269 per week in Alexandria, VA - Job Description & Requirements Sonographer - Diagnostic - (Sonography - Sono) StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 12 N Pay Rate: $1969.00 - $2269.00 No more than a 30-day work gap and MUST HAVE references within the past year, no exceptions! 2 years exp preferred but will look at other techs with the right experience. Certs/Professional Certs: BLS, ARDMS, (RDMS, RDCS, or RVT) Experience or 'Must have' skills: Must be able to perform vascular legs for DVT's (Deal breaker). Must be able to scan PEDS-pyloric stenosis on infants. Breast Ultrasound, abdominal patients, thyroid small parts, OB/GYN experience required. Common types of imaging/studies performed & Job Duties: Keep patient flow moving. Mainly ED, but you could get an inpt and other exams. Might need to go portable to the floors as well. Its 1 pt at a time. All basic sono exams, Abdomen, pelvic with Transvaginal ultrasound (TV), Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) legs only, small Parts for example testicles. Including the must have requirements as well. Will they have to float/cover any other areas: Will cover all areas of hospital, could go to ER for portables. The sonographer will cover the house. This could mean NICU, L&D, ED, Inpt and OR. Weekend Requirements: None unless opening is for weekends. Holiday Requirements Could work holiday schedule, depends on needs. Call or Standby requirement? None. If traveler wants to pick up some call shifts then they would be on-call/float to Inova Healthplex Springfield location Scrub Color/Dress Code: Are scrubs provided? OB/GYN and FE certification required. Work schedule will vary depending on volume and client needs. Clinician would receive their schedule in advance and the two clinics are about 12 miles apart so neither would require an extensive commute. Both clinics operate Monday- Friday 8AM-5PM; no call, no weekends. 2 years' experience. One site assigned per day. GE S8, E10, E8 equipment used.
