Travel Sterile Processing Tech in Milwaukee, WI - Job details: Position: Sterile Processing Technician $$SN$$ Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin Shift: Evenings – 2nd Shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM) Duration: 10 weeks Job Duties • Perform decontamination, processing, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies. • Collect, sort, clean, disinfect, inspect, assemble, wrap, label, and prepare instruments and procedural trays for sterilization and storage. • Operate, monitor, test, and document cleaning and sterilization equipment according to departmental procedures. • Identify appropriate cleaning and sterilization methods based on item requirements and manufacturer instructions (IFUs). • Maintain accurate sterilization records and documentation in compliance with AAMI, AORN, Joint Commission, and OSHA standards. • Perform and document biological monitoring of sterilization equipment and follow protocols for failed biological tests. • Maintain aseptic techniques while handling, preparing, and storing sterile supplies. • Deliver processed supplies and equipment to hospital departments as needed and assist with Endoscopy reprocessing when required. • Report equipment issues, safety concerns, and process deficiencies to Sterile Processing leadership. • Participate in employee training and orientation activities.
