Travel Sterile Processing Tech - $1,052 per week in Fresno, CA - Shift: D/E/N Rotating - 8x5 - 07,19 Description: Technicians shall clean and decontaminate reusable medical instruments and equipment following established standards. This includes adherence to Manufacturer Instructions for Use (MIFU) and use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Strict practices to prevent cross-contamination must be followed. Personnel shall inspect items for biological residue, damage, wear, or malfunction. Technicians shall assemble, inspect, and package instruments in accordance with policies and MIFU. Instruments shall be checked for staining, pitting, rust, cracking, and functionality. Packages shall be labeled accurately, documented, and prepared to maintain sterility. Technicians shall operate sterilization equipment including autoclaves, automated washers, and ultrasonic cleaners. All sterilization cycles shall be monitored, documented, and verified for compliance with established safety and regulatory standards. Technicians shall maintain accurate records of decontamination, sterilization, equipment testing, and distribution activities. They may assist with transporting soiled and clean reusable medical equipment throughout the facility. Technicians may also support the training of new staff in sterile processing procedures and best practices. This task is considered an operational duty, not an educational requirement. Qualifications/Requirements: Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of dedicated Sterile Processing Service (SPS) experience detailed explicitly within the resume. Geographic Location: The resume must explicitly state the city and state where the candidate resides. Note: Candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of the client will receive a more favorable rating. Active Certification: Proof of one of the following current/active professional certifications: Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA).
