Monitors, records and communicates patient condition. Performs advanced respiratory care modalities. Evaluates respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcome. Educates the patient and family about the health condition and provides information about community support groups and other available programs. Responds to emergency resuscitation team code.Minimum Qualifications Licensure / Certification / Registration: Required Credential(s): BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - $2,290 per week in West Burlington, IA - Assess, treat and care for patients with breathing disorders. Assume primary responsibility for all respiratory care modalities, including the supervision of respiratory care students. Initiate and conduct therapeutic procedures; maintain patient records; and select, assemble, check, and operate equipment. Provides high quality respiratory care to the following patient populations: Neonate, Infant, Toddler, School Age, Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric. 12 hour shifts Every other weekend is required. On call required once every scheduling period. May cover other shifts as needed. Some peds experience preferred. Previous Epic Experience within the last 12 months required.
