Duties and Responsibilities: Provides radiation therapy treatment delivery services to cure or improve the quality of life of patients. The Clienttion Therapist accurately delivers a prescribed course of treatment. They implement and deliver a planned course of external beam, SBRT/VMAT, and conventional treatments. Treatment is administered accurately and safely while monitoring and reporting unexpected effects, reactions, and responses. Participation in a therapeutic team approach is essential for optimum treatment delivery. The therapist evaluates and assesses the physiological and psychological responsiveness of each patient daily. Details of treatment procedures must be documented accurately, including billing codes and daily treatment records. They construct and/or prepare immobilization devices and beam directional devices that facilitate treatment delivery. Patient education is provided to maximize understanding of the plan of care. Family education is offered as needed. The Clienttion Therapist provides age-appropriate care to adult and geriatric patients.
