The technologist will be expected to inject radiopharmaceuticals and start IVs. Candidates must have a valid NJ state license or be in the process of obtaining it. Experience with GE, Hitachi, Philips, Siemens, and Toshiba equipment is preferred. The position requires knowledge and skills in HIDA scans, perfusion studies, and various other nuclear medicine tests. The clinician will work with a daily census of up to 8 adult patients. Travelers will be expected to provide care to patients in General Nuclear Medicine, including routine studies like bones, gastrics, hepatos, and renals. If PET/CT trained, there is potential rotation through the PET department. Local travelers within a specific radius are not accepted. On weekdays, the call person stays late only if there is a late patient. Typically, the team is finished by 6 PM on weekdays. Weekend call coverage is from 8 AM to 5 PM for specific cases. In the previous year, there were only a few instances of being called in on weekends. This position requires maintaining a high level of patient care and attention to detail. Proper documentation and adherence to protocols are essential. Candidates may be required to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals.
