Travel Medical Assistant - $17 to $21 per hour in South Burlington, VT - Position: Medical Assistant Job Description: * Schedule, confirm patient appointments, check-ups, and physician referrals * Answer telephones and direct calls to appropriate staff * Greet visitors, assess purpose of visit, and direct them to appropriate staff * Compile record medical charts, reports, and correspondence. * Some experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred * Check patients in and out * Collect co-pays * A problem-solving mentality for prioritizing tasks and addressing patient issues that may arise * Excellent customer service skills (receptionist experience highly preferred) Requirements * Must have at least 6 months of recent Medical Assistant experience; Front/Back office experience * Medical Assistant Diploma/Certificate only required if State required * Active BLS/CPR Card * Strong phlebotomy skills * Must be ok working in a smoke-free/tobacco-free environment
