Travel Medical Assistant - $17 to $20 per hour in Lexington, KY - Specialty: Medical Assistant - Certified Location: Lexington, KY Shift: Monday-Friday (8:30am - 4:30pm) Duration: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire Start: ASAP Job Description: * Meet with provider daily to review pre-scheduled appointments * Call back and work up patients for sick visits and well child checks as needed * Obtain vital signs * Obtain medical history * Order any necessary labs and/or screening tools * Reconcile medications Assist providers with care of patients as needed * Immunizations, including documentation in EHR and NCIR * Injections * Breathing treatments * Labs during times that the lab personal are unavailable * Any other care as needed as ordered by the providers * Prepare rooms * Stock supplies * Keep rooms clean throughout the day * Complete appropriate documentation as needed in patient’s medical record, etc. * Contact patient representative with lab results * Call in/order prescriptions as ordered by provider * Send and respond to messages with providers as needed Qualifications: * One year of clinical experience is a plus * High school degree required * CMA certificate required * Comfortable using EHR and other medical practice/laboratory applications * Comfortable using email and interacting with Internet applications * Appropriate and effective communication and interpersonal skills * Neat, professional appearance * Demonstrate the highest level of professionalism when interacting with patients, families, physicians, and hospital staff members.
