Travel Medical Lab Technician - $2,779 per week in Woodsville, NH - ID: 49001993 Shift: Sun - Thurs evenings + Weekend and call rotation Description: Title: Registered Radiologic Technologist -Thurs evenings+ Weekend and call rotation(required)Job Summary: We are seeking a proficient multi-modality Radiologic Technologist. X-Ray CT experience is required and ARRT CT certification preferred. Must be able to obtain and process quality images; complete all required documentation and paperwork timely; prepare patients for examinations in professional manner; provide safe care based on age specific needs of the patient; interact with radiologists and diagnostic imaging team effectively, and comply with protocols and procedures. The Ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic who is self-motivated, while being compassionate, empathetic and congenial. A candidate must be comfortable working independently and have exceptional problem solving and critical thinking skills. Because our workload is inconsistent we need someone who can be adaptable! If this sounds like you APPLY TODAY!Job patients, explains procedures to patients, answers their questions, shows patient to changing room and assists when necessaryFor ED/med surg patients, notifies nurse patient will be leaving the unit, ensures they are unhooked from all monitoring equipment, patient passport has been filled out by nurse for med/surg patients, ensures they are appropriately changed for exam, and have necessary ancillary equipment such as O2Prepares exams rooms to receive patients and ensures the equipment is clean, functioning properly, and all supplies are readily available and ready for usePrepares patients for exams including getting them changed as required, removing items that could cause artifacts prior to imaging Utilizes ALARA principles at all times, performs all requested routine and specialty diagnostic radiology exams, and shields every patient when possible Produces diagnostic images with accurate positioning and optimizes image quality with appropriate technique selectionCloses out exams and sends images for interpretationMonitors and stocks radiology supplies, consistently checks for expired items, and performs necessary QC and documents when requiredKnowledge of equipment maintenance requirements and follows shut down, warm up and QC schedules as appropriatePerforms basic office duties including but not limited to: answering the phone, scheduling radiology exams accurately, assisting with obtaining protocols, ensuring prior authorizations are obtained when necessary, sending images to other facilities and creating discs when requested Performs necessary record keeping for sending images and scanning documents into PACS and EMRTakes call as requested and is always available/reachable during on-call hours. Must be within 30-45 minutes of the hospital when 1:30pm - 10:00pm+ Weekend and call rotation (required)The Radiology Department can be relatively relaxed at times and other times it is quite busy so it is safe to say that no two days are the same and our work load varies. All of our images are read and interpreted by a board-certified, subspecialty-trained radiologist from Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. Our department is staffed 24/7 by trained technologists registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). Diagnostic Imaging at Cottage Hospital is comprised of several modalities to include: X-ray (Radiography), Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Ultrasound, Echocardiography, Nuclear Medicine,Mammography, and Bone DensitometryQualifications / Skills/ be a graduate of an accredited program for Radiologic Technology.
