Travel Phlebotomist - $16 to $18 per hour in Port St. Lucie, FL - Position: Phlebotomist Job Description: * Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc. * Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures. * Properly explains in a clear but courteous manner the process of the venipuncture (blood drawing) and or other specimen collection (ex. urine or fecal) as required. * Demonstrate technique/s using straight needles and/or butterfly needles. * Fully understand all of the physiciahistolns' orders. * Matches laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes. Qualifications: * 1-2 years outpatient rehabilitation setting. * At least two (2) years of physical therapy experience highly preferred. * One (1) year experience in home health or other health setting with geriatric emphasis. * Current license in Physical Therapy or ability to obtain prior to hire. * American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS preferred upon hire, and required within 90 days of hire. * Current Driver’s license * Excellent customer service skills * Ability to work without direct supervision. * Provides care appropriate to the age of patients served on the job. * Knowledge of physical therapy assessment and treatment methods * Knowledge of physical therapy modalities and equipment * Ability to maintain effective relationships with other health care professionals * Must be able to develop skills in use of technology used in home care setting. * Demonstrate the highest level of professionalism when interacting with patients, families, physicians, and hospital staff members.
