Surgical Technologist / Scrub Tech – Ortho/Neuro/Spine

Contract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (Variable) | 40 Guaranteed Hours per Week

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and prepare operative suites for patients across a high-volume OR environment averaging 40–60 cases per day across 21 operating rooms
• Review and verify case carts to ensure all required supplies and instruments are available prior to procedures
• Scrub surgical cases across a variety of specialties including Ortho, Neuro, and Spine, with an emphasis on complex spine, neuro, and total joint cases
• Turn over operating rooms efficiently between multiple procedures throughout the shift
• Participate in on-call responsibilities including weeknight and weekend call with a 30-minute response time requiring readiness to be in the OR within that window
• Assist with orienting and mentoring new hire staff as needed, and perform downtime tasks when census is low

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program required
• Active CST certification through NBSTSA or NCCT required
• BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted)
• Minimum of 4 years of operating room experience required
• Prior travel assignment experience required
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Must have personal reliable transportation due to on-call responsibilities (cannot rely on rideshare services)
• Strong proficiency in Ortho, Neuro, and Spine required; must be comfortable with complex spine, craniotomy, and total joint cases

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in General Surgery, GYN, Urology, Plastics, ENT, or GI is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to float to additional facilities and adapt to varying team environments
• Strong work ethic with resilience, adaptability to change, and a collaborative, social demeanor
