Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients' needs and initiate appropriate physical therapy interventions; perform ongoing reassessments and accurate, timely QI scoring for an adult and geriatric inpatient rehabilitation population.
- Evaluate and treat patients presenting with diagnoses including stroke, traumatic brain injury (TBI), spinal cord injury, and debility, utilizing evidence-based physical therapy modalities.
- Observe and evaluate treatment effectiveness; monitor progress toward short- and long-term goals and communicate changes or barriers to the interdisciplinary team and physician as needed.
- Document patient care, goals, and progress accurately and in a timely manner within the Interdisciplinary Care Plan; ensure patient charges are entered accurately and on time.
- Participate in patient and family conferences and team conferences; formulate and evaluate patient and family teaching plans based on identified learning needs.
- Supervise and provide accountability for care delivered by rehabilitation technicians and PT students as applicable; maintain department cleanliness, safety, and proper equipment operation.
Required Qualifications
- Current, active Physical Therapist (PT) licensure in the state of Washington.
- Master's degree in Physical Therapy required.
- Minimum of 1–3 years of experience as a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Basic computer knowledge and proficiency; experience with EHR systems (EPIC and Rehab Connect preferred).
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in acute care, skilled nursing, or inpatient rehabilitation hospital settings.
- Experience treating patients with stroke, TBI, spinal cord injury, or debility in a rehabilitation environment.
- Bilingual or multilingual communication skills are a plus.
