About the Position
Job Title: Physical Therapist Profession: Rehabilitation Therapy Specialty: Physical Therapist Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Monday - Friday, Days; Rotating weekend coverage Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: Minimum 1 year preferred License: Current State Physical Therapist License required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Valid Driver's license and proof of personal auto insurance required. Description: The Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating, planning, directing, and administering Physical Therapy services as prescribed by a licensed Provider. Services are provided within an inpatient, outpatient, and/or home health setting. Treatments aim to restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, prevent or limit physical disabilities, and increase independence. The Physical Therapist assesses all patients as related to physician orders and interprets results within the scope of licensure. Treatment programs are designed for patients with varying degrees/types of disabilities and multiple medical problems. Short and long-term treatment goals for patients are formulated realistically and appropriately. Patient and family involvement is included in the development of the plan of care. The Physical Therapist observes and evaluates treatment effects, recommending changes to the physician as necessary. Accurate patient charges and documentation must be entered on a timely basis and comply with regulatory standards. Documentation should be timely, efficient, and meet current standards and policies, demonstrating thorough knowledge of computerized documentation. Compliance with established safety procedures is essential to ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Participation in performance improvement activities is expected. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
