There will be an expectation to stay at the facility until after the event passes or be part of the relief team. Specific details pertaining to pay will be communicated on each emergency event, as impacts vary. By signing your travel contract, you accept the above and will report as assigned by your immediate unit manager if an emergency event occurs. You should not apply for this role if you are not comfortable with the above expectations. One Saturday for 8 hours call will be required every two months. Primary shifts include 05:00 - 13:30 and 08:30 - 17:00. Travel experience is required. Automated/Manual Microtome skills are necessary. Experience with automatic tissue processors is preferred. Proficient in embedding techniques for various types of specimens is required. Familiarity with hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) stain is essential. Experience in immunohistochemistry (IHC) staining is beneficial. Complete histology actions are to be completed efficiently. Ensure task pending lists are managed effectively. This position involves working with a range of patient age groups, including neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Candidates who have worked as permanent staff or in-house agency contractors must have separated from previous affiliations for a full year before returning.
