Travel Endo Tech / GI Tech in Rochester, NY - JOB TITLE Endoscopy / GI Technician LOCATION New York, NY SCHEDULE / JOB TYPE Contract | Days with Night Call (Monday–Friday) KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Apply principles of aseptic technique to equipment preparation, maintenance, and procedural assistance, identifying any potential compromise to sterile or High-Level Disinfection integrity throughout procedures. * Disassemble and inspect endoscopic equipment, identify defective or malfunctioning parts, and perform preventive maintenance on all procedure supplies and equipment. * Perform all pre-cleaning requirements per regulatory standards for endoscopes, including inspection, leak testing, cleaning, high-level disinfecting, identifying needed repairs, and storing equipment per established protocols. * Determine appropriate High-Level Disinfection methods based on material and manufacturer instructions; check and calibrate equipment according to established protocols. * Perform ambulatory technician duties as assigned, including obtaining and documenting vital signs and transporting patients. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS * Prior travel assignment experience required (minimum of one completed travel assignment). * Working knowledge of aseptic technique and High-Level Disinfection principles and practices. * Ability to perform endoscope reprocessing per regulatory and manufacturer standards. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS * High-Level Disinfection (HLD) certification highly encouraged. * Experience with ambulatory care duties including vital signs documentation and patient transport.
