They prepare the examination area and position patients for procedures. They operate complex radiology equipment in accordance with established techniques and routines. The technologist assists physicians as necessary by passing materials and taking exposures as directed. They demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate for the ages of the patients served. The department consists of 11 employees, including 4 Electrophysiologists. Currently, there are 2 procedure rooms in operation. The daily volume of procedures ranges from 5 to 10, depending on the types of procedures scheduled. The department operates Monday through Friday, with Saturday call from 8 AM to 1 PM that rotates among staff. The ratio of staff includes 5 technologists and 6 registered nurses. The charting system utilized is EPIC. This position requires a commitment to maintaining a drug-free work environment. It is essential that all candidates are prepared to produce a negative drug screen for all panels.
