Description: Seeking a full-time Echo Sonographer traveler to assist the Cardiology Team. The Echocardiographer (Echo Tech) will work with the practice team to assist in the delivery of direct and indirect patient care in a hospital/office setting under the supervision of Practice Providers, Cardiology Director, Lead Echo Tech, and Practice Manager. Responsibilities include preparing patients and diagnostic equipment for imaging procedures. Explain procedures to patients and answer any questions they may have. Obtain high-quality imaging and assist physicians in interpreting the data from the images. Ensure that records are kept properly and provide care through hospital and practice standards of care. Demonstrate clinical competence in all modalities within echocardiography to provide accurate diagnostic information. Provide patient/caregiver education and act as a patient advocate in the delivery and coordination of patient care. Provide age-specific, individualized care that supports protection from harm and the family unit. Maintain knowledge and competency in echocardiography as set forth by credentialing organizations. Provide exceptional customer service as a member of the care team in person, by phone, or through other patient messaging systems. Demonstrate competence in duties related to equipment performance, patient monitoring, archiving of studies, and supply procurement. Organize exam rooms, set up for procedures, and assist with quality monitoring and record-keeping. Ability to organize and multitask while remaining calm and personable in a fast-paced practice setting. Collaborate with other healthcare providers, clinical staff, and support staff regarding practice and patient needs. Additional duties as assigned. Demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt to a constantly changing healthcare environment.
