Assists in achieving departmental objectives and goals. Helps create an environment that allows the medical imaging department to meet operational goals. Performs at least three of the listed modalities on a regular basis. Education and work experience include an associate's degree in radiologic technology, with a bachelor's degree or master's degree preferred. Must possess a current certification in one of the modalities and be able to perform duties in at least one other advanced modality. Essential functions include performing various radiographic, mammographic, computed tomography, and/or ultrasound examinations consistent with experience. Competently performs three modalities. Safely transports and transfers patients between gurneys and wheelchairs. Tests defibrillators and checks the integrity of crash carts. Performs mobile imaging examinations as necessary. Assists in accomplishing departmental objectives and goals. Helps create an environment that enables the medical imaging department to meet operational goals. Performs at least three of the modalities listed on a regular basis. Education and Work Experience: Associate's Degree in radiologic technology is required. Medication System: Omnicell EMR System: Cerner Transport Team: Department transporter works 10:00-17:30 M-F Unit Secretary on Unit: No Special Procedures Performed: CT guided drain placements, CT guided biopsy, ultrasound guided biopsy, aspiration, paracentesis, and thoracentesis are included. Fluoro guided lumbar punctures, fluoro guided PICC placements, and myelograms are also performed. These procedures may vary depending on the skills of the radiologist covering the department for the day.
