The technologist works with an assigned group of patients as a primary caregiver. Direct patient care is provided while collaborating with other team members, including physicians and patient families, to achieve optimal outcomes. The technologist has access to patient information and may make decisions independently or in collaboration with team members, supervisors, and physicians. This role works directly under the supervision of the Cardiac Cath manager. Duties include scrubbing and monitoring multiple modalities within the Cath Lab. The technologist assists in heart catheterization procedures and emergent procedures such as impella and IABP. Additional lab responsibilities may include work in the Peripheral lab and EP lab. Must reside outside a 60-mile radius.
