Everyone gets sick sometimes. However, due to the nature of travel therapy assignments, you probably want to avoid having to take off if at all humanly possible. You won't be getting paid sick days. After all, as a travel therapist you might be filling in for someone else who is on medical leave so your presence is needed. Before starting any travel assignment, ask about sick days just to be safe. Also, the benefits like housing and travel stipends are given out under the stipulation you can work a certain amount of hours. Therefore, it's imperative you work those hours. Missing work can also affect your bonuses, make you get hit with a penalty, or even end up with a cancelled contract.
