Generally, you find your own transportation. I use Furnished Finder. Some people use Airbnb. some people get an extended rate at a local hotel. Some people get a hotel for a few days after the assignment starts, then look for housing when they arrive. Sometimes, locals can give you inside information re: landlords and good areas.
