Job Title: CT Technologist

Location: Charlotte, NC

Salary: Based on experience

Job Summary:
As a CT Technologist, you will perform procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards. Operating CT Scanners and associated equipment with proficiency, you'll ensure optimal patient care and safety throughout the imaging process.

Essential Functions:
- Examines requests and verifies orders on each assigned patient, consulting with Radiologists as needed.
- Prepares patients for procedures, obtaining medical history, and explaining the process thoroughly.
- Administers IV contrast according to protocols, recording details accurately.
- Evaluate image quality and consult with Radiologists for further instructions if needed.
- Practices sterile technique and ensures compliance with infection control policies during invasive procedures.
- Ensures radiation safety for self, staff, and patients.
- Operates radiology computer systems for order entry and documentation.

Skills:
- ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine.
- Advanced registry from ARRT in CT scanning within one year of hire.
- Current CPR certification.
- IV and contrast administration certification is required before performing venous contrast administration.

Education:
- Graduate of an accredited two (2) year AMA and ARRT-approved program in Radiologic Technology.
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years experience in Diagnostic Radiology or 1-year experience in CT scanning or equivalent applicable experience required.
- ARRT Certification and CPR certification required.
