Job Description:

• Performs phlebotomy on out-patients and in-patients to include acute patient care areas in accordance with established National Patient Safety Goals.
• The phlebotomist demonstrates service excellence and positive interpersonal skills when dealing with others to include patients, family members, nurses, physicians and ancillary care team members.
• Performs accurate processing of all laboratory specimens in a timely manner to ensure quality patient care.
• Ensure following proper PPE, patient identifications, and collection techniques, while securing each sample with proper requisitions, sending scanned specimen tracking logs and prepare for a prearranged FedEx pick up.

Qualifications:

• Phlebotomy Certification
• High School Diploma
• Experience with inpatient behavioral health units.
