Performs administrative and clinical tasks in healthcare settings, such as taking patient histories, drawing blood, and scheduling appointments. Under the direction of a physician, assists in the delivery of health care for patients. Performs a wide variety of patient care activities including, but not limited to, maintenance of clinical record/documentation, administering medications, giving injections, taking vital signs, scheduling, mentoring and training of staff. Identifies issues and participates in process improvement initiatives. Facilitates or leads huddles and various team meetings. May manage process workflow and/or staff schedules.WHAT IS EXPECTED (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)Answer telephone for provider: Take and relay messages, Make phone calls as instructed by provider; makes reminder calls as required Complete paperwork as needed including scanning, stamping and filing as requested or required Ensure all charts and forms for the office visit are ready for the provider.
