About the Position

Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience required License: Pending License Accepted Certifications: CST required, NBSTSA preferred Must-Have: National Certifications required Description: Types of cases required include craniotomy, orthopedic trauma, motor vehicle accidents, and total joint procedures. The operating room has 16 rooms available. First-timer travelers are accepted. Weekend requirements include two weeknights every six weeks and one weekend each month and a half. Call is required. Clinicians may float within scope to meet facility needs. No local candidates are accepted; a 75-mile radius rule is in effect. Candidates must provide proof of address. The unit cares for various patient demographics, including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Preferred experience includes Level II trauma and travel experience. Candidates must possess skills in a range of surgical procedures, including abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, craniotomy, total hip replacement, and many others. Interdisciplinary support and special procedures may be required within the department. Candidates are expected to adhere to safety protocols and manage surgical instruments and equipment properly. Candidates must have a full work history without gaps exceeding 30 days. Epic experience is preferred for certain positions. This position requires compliance with all specified job requirements and qualifications.
