About the Position

Job Title: Phlebotomist Profession: Phlebotomist Specialty: Phlebotomist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 08:00 PM - 06:30 AM Hours per Shift: 10.5 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years Description: Responsible for collecting and processing laboratory specimens. May be trained to assist in bone marrow collections. Provides phlebotomy services at off-site facilities such as nursing homes or other laboratories. Must demonstrate absolute accuracy in patient identification and specimen labeling. Knowledge of test requirements is essential. Other duties will relate to specific departmental needs. Requires the ability to portray a professional image to patients. Must demonstrate pleasant and courteous mannerisms at all times. Weekend coverage is required, and typical shifts will be from 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM. Variable night shift hours may be necessary.
