About the Position

Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 2 years preferred License: Must have an active state license Certifications: CST certification, BLS certification required Must-Have: Candidates with experience in Neuro (spines/crani), ENT (flaps), and Robotics (Da Vinci Xi) cases preferred Description: Position involves working as a Certified Surgical Technologist in a busy operating room. Shifts are scheduled as four 10-hour days with holiday rotation. Weekend call shifts are required, two shifts per month, with 12-hour call coverage. The role may involve floating to meet facility needs. Main responsibilities include assisting with a variety of surgical procedures in a fast-paced environment. Experience in Ortho (total joints, spine, trauma), Neuro (crani, spine), ENT (flaps), Robotics, Transplants/Procurements, and Trauma/Burns is common. Candidates must provide a radiation badge from their agency. The facility operates as a Level 1 trauma center and requires staff to accommodate emergency response during hurricane season. All required paperwork and compliance must be completed prior to the start of the assignment. This department utilizes advanced technology and is recognized for its excellence in patient care.
