About the Position

Job Title: EP Monitoring Tech Profession: Client EP Tech Specialty: Exception - EP Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 4x10 hours Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: 2 Years License: RCES or Radiologic Tech license Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association only) Must-Have: Cardiac implant or structural heart scrub experience preferred but not required. GE (MacLab & CardioLab) system preferred but not required. Bloom Stimulator preferred but not required. Description: The main function of the Electrophysiology Monitor is to provide assistance during EP studies, ablations, and cardiac implants. Cardiac implant or structural heart scrub experience is preferred but not required. Bloom stimulator experience is preferred but not required. The ability to implement EP pacing monoverses and understanding is required. Experience with the GE (MacLab & CardioLab) system is required to assist in pacing monoverses and measurements. Responsibilities include assisting with set up for multiple vendors during ablations. Epic is the main documentation system within the lab. Epic experience is preferred but not required. The monitor will communicate with the medical doctor and in-room staff to ensure all equipment and supplies are available. Assists in facilitating room turnover and timely starts for patient care. Coordinates with the charge nurse and third-party vendors to ensure all team members are available for scheduled procedures. Typical procedures performed may include RF ablations (Cryo ablations), device implants such as traditional pacemakers and ICDs, subcutaneous ICDs, leadless pacemakers, loops, and left atrial appendage closures. The ideal candidate is a professional healthcare worker who is patient-focused and team-driven. The ability to adapt to lab changes and maintain a positive work environment is essential.
