About the Position

Job Title: Sterile Processing Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 5 x 8 hours (11:00 - 19:30) Experience: 2 years required, prior travel experience preferred License: Active license required Certifications: BLS, CBSPD, IAHCSMM/HSPA Must-Have: Trauma Level I and II experience required Description: This position is primarily focused on decontamination. The role may involve floating within the department to sterilization occasionally. Candidates must have experience in a trauma environment. Responsibilities include using specialized equipment such as steam sterilizers, washer disinfectors, and scope processing devices. Experience with proper sterilization techniques and monitoring is essential. Candidates should be familiar with aseptic techniques and the use of chemical agents for decontamination. Floating to other units may be required based on staffing needs. Availability for scheduled holidays and weekends is necessary. Travelers should be comfortable with unit floating and must not have any scheduling restrictions. Compliance with onboarding processes is required. All certifications must be up to date at the time of submission.
