Travel Pediatric Respiratory Therapist – Nights

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights | 3x12 (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours Guaranteed Per Week | 13-Week Assignment | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Initiate, manage, and adjust respiratory care interventions and procedures for pediatric and neonatal patients, including those in PICU and NICU settings
- Operate and maintain advanced respiratory equipment including ventilators, oscillators, and jet ventilators; perform equipment changes, processing, and supply stocking
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams, participate in physician rounds, and communicate patient goals, status changes, and handoff reports accurately and confidentially
- Assess physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of patients and families; document care and teaching in the EMR system
- Adhere to all safety, infection control, confidentiality, and compliance policies including fall precautions, patient identification protocols, and time-out procedures
- Float between designated areas (pediatric and neonatal) as required by the facility
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care program
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care
- Current state licensure in the state of practice
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA only)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of pediatric and/or neonatal intensive care respiratory therapy experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Hands-on experience with Draeger VN500, Hamilton G-5, oscillators, and jet ventilators
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR
- Prior experience floating between pediatric and neonatal care environments
- Adaptable, team-oriented personality with strong clinical reasoning and critical thinking skills
