About the Position

Job Title: Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer Profession: Radiology/Cardiology Specialty: Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer Duration: 10 weeks Shift: Mid Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 5 years License: GA license or Compact license required Certifications: BLS, CCI RCS, RDCS, ARRT - Sonography, RDCS or CCI RCS required Must-Have: Strong experience in structural echocardiography, including TAVRs, Mitral Clips, MVRs, TVRs, and ASD closures Description: The position requires a highly skilled Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer with a proven track record in echocardiography. The candidate will float within the facility and to other locations as needed based on clinical fit. Call is not required, and the work schedule is Sunday through Thursday. The unit performs a high volume of structural echo studies, including transesophageal echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms. Sonographers work closely with cardiologists and are responsible for entering preliminary reports. Experience in administering echocardiograms with the use of contrast agents and conducting advanced imaging techniques is essential. Candidates should be proficient in 3D Echo, M-Mode, and pharmacologic stress echocardiograms. The role supports a busy echo lab, focusing on inpatient and outpatient services, requiring structured scanning experience. Knowledge and experience with advanced equipment such as Lumason contrast and familiarity with Philips and Siemens imaging systems are preferred. The workload includes an average of 8 transthoracic echocardiograms per 10-hour shift. The ideal applicant is expected to work one major holiday if it falls within the assignment period. Compliance with onboarding and documentation requirements is mandatory for a timely start.
