About the Position

Job Title: Ultrasound Technician Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: General Ultrasound Duration: 6 months Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience required License: Valid state RN license or Compact RN license required Certifications: ARDMS Must-Have: - Experience in breast, general, OB, and vascular ultrasounds - Registration with ARDMS - Experience with Meditech and Philips equipment Description: No exemptions will be made for travelers regarding flu vaccinations. Candidates must be able to perform breast, general, OB, and vascular ultrasounds. Experience performing echocardiograms is preferred. Staff will not be required to take call. Candidates must have experience with Meditech and Philips equipment. Patient demographics will include adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The average daily census will include outpatients, acute care patients, and emergency department patients. Exams performed will consist of general, vascular, fetal, OB, breast ultrasounds, and echocardiology. The facility includes several specialty services such as GI, urology, hematology, pulmonary, cardiology, and general surgery. Staff will work alongside interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. All images will be sent to PACS for interpretation; there is no on-site radiologist. Technologists will perform both echoes and general/vascular procedures. A single scan room is available with one machine and one technologist per shift. Weekend call obligations will be negotiable for contract staff. Transport of images will transition from one PACS system to another. Candidates with open or pending background or license issues will not be accepted. Local travelers are not eligible for submission.
