About the Position
Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory Therapy Specialty: RT 7085 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Days, Nights eow, days or nights, first to float Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1 year(s) License: Yes Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, RRT or CRT, ND state license Must-Have: NICU experience Description: Department: Respiratory Therapy Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, RRT or CRT, ND state license No clinical involvement. Must have NICU experience. Types of patients range from neonatal to geriatrics. Cares for patients in Level II trauma, NICU, ICU, surgical, medical, and cardiac units. Covers all areas throughout the facility. Uses various RT equipment including Airvo, PB 840 Vent, PB 980 Vent, Hamilton C1, MR1, V-60 Respironics. Shifts are from 0600-1830 and 1800-0630. Rotating weekend requirements every third weekend. Holiday requirements every third holiday. Includes three 12-hour shifts of specific orientation. RTs are respected by other disciplines, and staff is friendly. Successful RTs can work independently, make clinical judgments, and collaborate closely with physicians. Candidates must adhere to a 50-mile radius rule. Requests for time off should be submitted upfront, with limitations on additional requests. Cancellation policy allows for four shifts per contract or three shifts if the contract is under 13 weeks. Charting system used is EPIC. BSN is not required. Trauma level 2 care setting is provided. Division: Allied. Shift notes indicate rotating weekends, days or nights, with first to float expectations. Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, CRT verification, NRP, and RRT verification.
