About the Position

Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Mid Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: 2+ years in sterile processing required License: Compact or state license required Certifications: HSPA or CRCST certification required Must-Have: - Level 2 trauma center experience - Proficiency in decontamination, assembly, sterilization, case carts, and scope reprocessing - Experience with service lines: Ortho, Neuro, CT, Trauma, Vascular, Oral, Plastics, ENT, and General surgeries Description: Monday to Friday schedule, 3 PM to 11 PM. HSPA/CRCST certification is mandatory. Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience is required. Travel experience is necessary unless the candidate has three years of experience with level 1 trauma. Proficiency in decontamination, assembly, sterilization, case carts, and scope reprocessing is essential. Candidates should have experience in the following service lines: Ortho, Neuro, CT, Trauma, Vascular, Oral, Plastics, ENT, and General surgeries. No time off requests will be granted during the first contract. Compliance with core exams (HIPAA) is required. No on-call duties are required for this position. Travelers residing within 100 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position. Candidates will float within the hospital or nearby affiliate hospitals as needed. It is preferred that candidates have excellent customer service skills, attendance, punctuality, and attention to detail. Candidates must demonstrate team-oriented capabilities and be driven. Profile must include service line instrument experience in required areas.
