About the Position

Job Title: Sterile Processing Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 10 hours (21:00 - 07:30) Experience: 2+ years in sterile processing required License: Compact or state license required Certifications: HSPA/CRCST certified Must-Have: Certified in HSPA/CRCST. Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience. Proficient in decontamination, assembly, sterilization, case carts, and scope reprocessing. Experience in service lines including Ortho, Neuro, CT, Trauma, Vascular, Oral, Plastics, ENT, and General surgeries. Prior experience in level 2 trauma center required. Description: Monday to Thursday shifts from 9 PM to 7 AM. Certification through HSPA or CRCST is mandatory. Two or more years of experience in sterile processing is required. First-time travelers will be considered only if they have three years of experience and level 1 trauma experience; otherwise, travel experience is necessary. The candidate must be proficient in decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and case carts. Experience is required in a variety of service lines, including Ortho, Neuro, CT, Trauma, Vascular, Oral, Plastics, ENT, and General surgeries. No time off requests will be granted during the first contract. CORE compliance exams must be completed. No call duties are required. Local travelers are not accepted within specified radiuses. Excellent customer service skills are essential. Candidates must be team-oriented, pay attention to detail, and demonstrate a strong work ethic. The role requires familiarity with different service line instruments and proper sterilization techniques. Compliance with competency exams in sterile processing is necessary. Experience with fiber optics and other specialized equipment is required. Candidates must ensure they have not previously worked at this facility.
