About the Position

Job Title: Sterile Processing Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid Hours per Shift: 8 (15:00 - 23:30) Experience: Minimum of 5 years previous sterile processing experience required License: Certification required at hire and maintained Certifications: CRCST or CSPDT required Must-Have: - Must be certified (IASCHM, CBSPD, HSPA) - Must have a rating of 3 or above in Robotics - Must have worked in a Level II Trauma or similar facility Description: The Sterile Processing Tech cleans, prepares, sterilizes, and stores instruments. The tech also prepares case carts for the operating room. The position includes weekend rotations. The tech will primarily work in decontamination and will rarely assemble trays. The surgical processing department serves multiple operating rooms and various clinics. A variety of specialties are included in this role, including robotics. The position requires familiarity with various vendors for tray instruments. Education is preferred to be a high school diploma or GED.
