About the Position
Job Title: Radiologic Technologist I Profession: Radiologic Technologist Specialty: Urgent Care Duration: 8 weeks with potential for extension Shift: Variable shift schedule Hours per Shift: 30 guaranteed hours Experience: New graduates are eligible, but one year of experience in general radiology is preferred. License: California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) required. Certifications: ARRT required. Current AHA or equivalent healthcare provider BLS Certification required. Must-Have: - Excellent skills in performing radiographic examinations in accordance with established protocols. - Ability to assist and instruct patients prior to and during examinations. - Commitment to evaluating each study to ensure it meets required quality standards. - Responsibility for patient safety and well-being during examinations. - Skills in inspecting and cleaning equipment prior to use. - Ability to report equipment failures and malfunctions to a supervisor. - Competence in reporting patient complaints, discrepancies, and drug reactions according to policies. Description: Works under the supervision of the Urgent Care Supervisor or Area Manager with oversight from the Diagnostics Imaging Manager. Performs general radiographic studies following established quality assurance criteria. Produces radiographs and organizes images, completes required paperwork, and charges. Responsible for patient safety and well-being during examinations. Assists and instructs patients during examinations. Handles clerical and other duties as assigned. Reports all equipment malfunctions. Cleans and inspects equipment prior to use. During times when radiologic studies are not being performed, assists as a Patient Services Representative with duties until another study presents. Performs general front office tasks of moderate scope and complexity including reception registration, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and medical records management functions.
