Key Responsibilities of the Medical Technologist

• Utilize Sysmex and CellaVision systems efficiently
• Perform accurate differentials in a busy, large hospital laboratory environment
• Handle complex samples including turbid specimens, platelet clumps, and abnormal cell findings
• Work collaboratively in large neonatal units to ensure accurate results
• Maintain a high level of competency in microbiology and laboratory operations

Requirements of the Medical Technologist

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in the specialty
• Certified as ASCP, AMT, or AAB
• Strong microbiology experience required
• Proficiency with Cerner systems
• Experience in a large hospital laboratory (600+ beds) preferred
