About the Position
Job Title: Acute Care Physical Therapist Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation Specialty: Physical Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in acute care settings. License: Valid Washington State Physical Therapy License required. Certifications: BLS required. Must-Have: - Acute care experience - Ability to work with various patient diagnoses including deconditioning, weakness, impaired balance, and impaired mobility - Familiarity with charting systems, specifically Epic - Ability to conduct patient assessments and develop plans of care - Skills in various therapeutic modalities and adaptive devices - Strong time management skills Description: This position involves providing inpatient physical therapy services. The primary focus is on working with a diverse patient population including adults and geriatrics. The therapist will conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, implementing therapeutic interventions, and educating patients and families. The therapist may float to other locations as needed. The expected patient-to-therapist ratio is between 5 to 10. The position generally requires flexibility in scheduling based on hospital census needs. The role involves working with a multidisciplinary team including other therapy professionals. Candidates should be comfortable using various equipment including hoyer lifts and therapy stairs. No weekend or holiday shifts are typically required, except in rare situations. This position offers an opportunity to work in a rural critical access hospital environment.
