About the Position
Job Title: Vascular Technologist Profession: Reg Vascular Tech Specialty: - Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Day Monday - Friday Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: 1+ years preferred License: Required Certifications: - BLS (American Heart Association) - ARDMS (RVT) OR CCI RVS Must-Have: - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where prioritization, organizational, and teamwork skills are essential. - Valid licensure and certifications as required. Description: The Vascular Technologist performs a full range of vascular exams. This includes using a variety of equipment and modalities, including ultrasound and testing. Essential functions include cross-training to other divisions of cardiovascular services. The technologist demonstrates acceptable imaging quality standards by critiquing positioning, technical factors, and alignment. Patient data is reviewed for accuracy, quality, and completeness. Documentation is performed accurately and completely. The technologist performs routine and complex vascular ultrasound imaging procedures. These should follow departmental guidelines. Department-specific job functions include performing various vascular ultrasound exams as per physician orders and standing protocols. The technologist may rotate to off-site mobile locations to serve patients with local testing availability. Taking call during rotating holidays, nights, and weekends is required. Proper cleaning of equipment and rooms between patients is essential. Documentation is necessary to accurately communicate with physicians regarding patient history and exam findings.
