About the Position

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: RRT Specialty: Respiratory Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Variable (2 day shifts & 1 night shift) Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years recent experience in Respiratory Therapy License: Must have a valid state Respiratory Therapy license Certifications: NBRC RRT certification, ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS Must-Have: - Experience with pediatrics and obstetric patients - All required certifications must be attached with the application Description: The Respiratory Therapist is either registered or certified to provide cardiopulmonary services. The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for following protocols approved by the medical staff and departmental policies and procedures. This role provides timely diagnostic and therapeutic services to both inpatients and outpatients. Responsibilities include assisting physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures. Other duties involve the delivery of medicated aerosols via medical compressed gas. Maintaining airways and managing ventilators are key aspects of the position. Inserting arterial lines and conducting intubations are part of the job. The role includes performing pulmonary function studies, cardiac and pulmonary stress tests, and blood gas analysis.
