Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Onsite | 37.5 hours per week | Shifts vary: 6:00am–4:00pm (3 days) and 6:30am–3:30pm or 12:00pm–9:30pm (1 day), with 30-minute breaks

Key Responsibilities

• Perform CT imaging exams and diagnostic/fluoroscopic radiologic examinations in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Produce computerized tomographic radiographs of designated anatomical areas as ordered, observing all radiation and bio-safety standards
• Conduct portable and operating room examinations in a timely and professional manner, applying sterile and aseptic techniques as required
• Prepare and enter written documentation including informed patient consent and patient chart documentation
• Assess and address the physical and special needs of adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients, including accommodations for hearing-impaired and physically challenged individuals
• Perform related duties in PACS, maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work areas, and regularly check equipment, supplies, and accessories

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• ARRT certification required
• New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) license required
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Ability to work independently and unsupervised

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with pediatric immobilization devices and safety precautions
• Familiarity with PACS systems and general computer proficiency
• Experience recognizing and alleviating patient fears and apprehensions related to imaging exams
