Travel Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – General OR – Pittsfield, MA 01201

We are seeking an experienced Travel Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a 13-week assignment in Pittsfield, Massachusetts (ZIP Code: 01201). This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled surgical tech who can work independently in a busy operating room environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures by ensuring all instruments and supplies are sterile and available
• Assist surgeons during a wide variety of surgical procedures while maintaining a sterile field
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team throughout procedures
• Handle surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies safely and efficiently
• Perform instrument counts before, during, and after procedures
• Precept and mentor new staff and travelers as needed

Requirements

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of current Certified Surgical Technologist experience
• Travel experience required (first-time travelers will not be considered)
• NBSTSA Certification required (NCCT not accepted)
• Active BLS Certification (AHA)
• Recent experience in the following specialties:
  • General Surgery
  • Gynecology
  • Vascular Surgery
  • Thoracic Surgery
  • Orthopedics (including Total Joints)
  • Neurosurgery (Head and Spine)
  • Trauma Surgery
