Key Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy assistant services within an acute inpatient rehabilitation setting under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Deliver individualized rehabilitation treatment to patients recovering from stroke, traumatic brain injury (TBI), spinal cord injury, debility, and related conditions
- Implement customized therapy plans aimed at maximizing patient independence, function, and quality of life
- Document patient progress and treatment interventions accurately using electronic health record systems
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team to support patients throughout their recovery journey
- Participate in weekend coverage on a once-per-month basis as required
Required Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license or certification in good standing
- Minimum of 1–3 years of experience as a PTA
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems, including EPIC and Rehab Connect
- Basic computer knowledge and strong organizational skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
- Cooperative, team-oriented approach to patient care and staff collaboration
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in acute care, skilled nursing, or inpatient rehabilitation hospital settings
- Familiarity with treating neurological and orthopedic diagnoses including stroke, TBI, and spinal cord injury
- Experience working within a structured interdisciplinary rehabilitation team environment
